ABSA is excited to introduce its Annual Conference for the 2021 year in collaboration with all their member societies, including UoN BusCom. Their theme and area of focus will be 'Resurgence' which is a very relevant and important issue to be addressed in the coming years as our world evolves after a global pandemic. ​

How do we begin rebuilding society, and what are some of the social, economic and environmental effects? How will businesses' operations alter to adapt? What does this mean for the graduate workforce?

BusCom has partnered with Westpac Group and The University of Newcastle's Employability & Enterprise Office to run a virtual event to enhance your personal branding, refresh your LinkedIn and set you up for success in Graduate and Internship applications!

We are pleased to welcome Helen McNairney from the The University of Newcastle's Employability & Enterprise Office who will cover all kinds of practical tips for you to improve your professional online presence and the importance of your personal brand.

Following this, we will move into a live Q&A with UON Alumni from Westpac Group (they've even gone through the Westpac Grad program) and the Graduate Programs Team. You will be able to ask your questions live during the event.

The event wraps up with an overview of Westpac's student programs which see opportunities all around Australia in 27 streams.

All students are encouraged to attend, to find out more about what Westpac has to offer for prospective Summer Interns and Graduates.

Once upon a time there was the BusCom Ball. An event where the most stylish, smart and splendid people gathered to see and be seen. However, legend has it that in 2020 a great curse fell upon the world, a curse so great that the fate of the BusCom Ball was grim. 

Until now…kind of.

Due to some pretty cool fairy god people coming together to organise the BusCom Ball this year we’re hoping to go ahead with the ball. However, with COVID measures in place, this year’s ball will have limited tickets!
