Chartered Accountants ANZ Career Connect Student Society Sponsorship Pitches

UoN BusCom travelled down to Sydney on Wednesday 9 October to take part in the CA Career Connect event. We were able to pitch to a room full of employers how we’re connecting industry leaders of today with future leaders of tomorrow, in aim of developing vital partnerships to the benefit of our members.  

Ryan Maginnity (President), Rory Duff (Vice President) and Julia Weber (Professional Events) did a fantastic job, really capturing that “Newy” vibe and highlighted the value BusCom offers to sponsors by being such an integral part of the University and Newcastle business community. The presentation covered a brief summary of the society, sponsorship proposal for 2020 and key professional events.

This was followed by the opportunity to network with representatives from organisations, including: Deloitte; CommBank; Allianz; BDO; Grant Thornton; Nexia; ShineWing Australia; Moore Stephens; NSW Public Service Commission; RSM; FTI Consulting; and GradConnection.
